About the Nortec Trail

The Nortec Trail is the worlds lightest quick fit crampon. Developed with high performance sports in mind, these micro crampons have been designed to meet the needs of professional trail runners. They grant excellent traction on ice, mud and other slippery surfaces while keeping weight and bulk to a minimum.

Their low profile and light weight is the result of Nortec's use of top quality materials and construction methods. High-strength stainless steel micro-rope adapts to the shape of the shoe and fits easily into gaps in the tread to minimise protruding parts under the foot and holds the crampon plates tight and secure. These plates are stainless steel and have been heat treated to offer greater toughness. Fourteen spikes measuring 8 millimetre offer superb bite and traction without being obtrusive or obstructive.

The high tech polymer harness is incredibly tough, having been stress tested to – 60 °C, yet it's incredibly stretchy and flexible. It gives a secure yet comfortable fit in seconds - simply place it over toes stretch it out to a secure fit round the heel, and go!

Collaborating with professional athletes and assessing the needs of a wide range of outdoor activities, Nortec have devolved the Trail as a micro crampon that will stand up to the toughest conditions and the most demanding users, from mountaineers to trail runners.
