Weighing in at just 910 grams, Ortovox's Ascent 30S women's backpack offers plenty of features; many of which you wouldn't normally see on a backpack this light.

A slim fit, chest belt and stabilizer straps help the Ascent hug the body rather than move around during active pursuits. For adventurous types, skis can be mounted diagonally through Ortovox's D-Skifix fastenings which also work with snowboards, or separately through a side-ski A-Skifix attachment. Additional rigid fastening loops on each side allow for attaching ice axes, ropes and hiking poles.
