About the Osprey Farpoint Trek 55L

The Farpoint Trek line builds on the already established Farpoint line and evolves it into a fully-featured travel trekking backpack. Suitcase style opening provides ease of packing and the new Airspeed ventilated trampoline suspended mesh back panel keeps you cool when out on the trail/city/airport.

Unlike traditional backpacks, the Farpoint Trek 55 opens similar to that of a suitcase. The front face pulls completely down to reveal the entirety of the pack. Perfectly compatible for use with packing cubes for the organisational traveller. Base zip entry additionally provides additional options of pack access. Internal compression straps allow you to cinch down clothing just so you can pack that little bit more.

The full suspension back system is a significant improvement over the Farpoint Treks predecessor. Completely adjustable for a bespoke user fit, the suspended Airspeed, reduces sweating, promotes ventilation and improves carrying comfort.

In similar fashion to the Farpoint line, the Trek includes an Integrated Aircover. This allows the trekking pack to be aircraft and travel-friendly, stowing webbing, belts and straps. The aircover is water-resistant and doubles as a rain cover for those unexpected showers in the tropics.

The pack externally features mesh water bottle holders and is hydration reservoir compatible for hydration in humid environments. Exterior grab handles allow for ease of transportation whilst in transit. And an internal security pocket keeps valuables such as a passport safe and secure and there is a zippered lower compartment specifically for your sleeping bag.

A sternum strap with emergency whistle provides an extra degree of safety. Moreover, the pack is compatible with the Daylite series and can facilitate a kangaroo style daypack carry. Lockable YKK zips keep your essentials safe in transit and provide exceptional reliability regardless of the conditions.

The Farpoint Trek 55L is designed for individuals looking for suitcase-style packing in a pack capable of trekking to the summit of Machu Picchu. With an integrated flight and rain cover, the pack is capable of being airline friendy. It is the ultimate travel trekking bag.

For the city to the summit, the Farpoint Trek is the perfect pack for gap years and travel adventures where you’ll head off the beaten path.
