The Descensionist backpack from Patagonia has been designed for skiers and snowboarders and is based on the Ascensionist alpine pack. This purpose-made pack will keep you company whilst backcountry touring and has been designed to be light on the ascent whilst keeping the snow out.
This pack is full of technical features to make your life easier and comes in 2 sizes, either S/M or L/XL. Made from super-durable recycled nylon, the Descensionist will stay protected and in great nick when out in the elements, leaving you to ski, board or climbing without hesitation. A breathable back panel also keeps you feeling fresh and cool on the climb.
A wide hip belt and shoulder straps and a low profile back system come together to provide an extremely comfortable carry. An expandable roll-top closure means you can easily overstuff the extra bits without any worries. A high density padded back panel lends support and load stability, and can be removed along with the helmet carry system for lighter, faster trips.
Snowboard/skis and a helmet can be easily attached to the pack externally. The main storage compartment is generously sized and perfect for all your gear, whilst there specific snow tool pockets with sleeves for further organising and hip belt pockets for those quick-grab essentials.
Whether this is carrying ice picks, skis or various other equipment, this ergonomically contoured bag has a feature to hold it.
