Rab's Solar Ultra Series blends an advanced construction and heat-retaining TILT technology with recycled fabric and insulation to deliver their highest performing synthetic bag yet that embraces a sustainable design.
The Solar Ultra 3 sleeping bag gives you the warmest in the line, built for lightweight mountain ascents and trekking in winter conditions. The Solar Ultra 2 gives you an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio with a tapered mummy shape that reduces bulk and weight making it ideal for fast-moving adventures in cold temperatures.
A 20D recycled polyester Atmos shell keeps the pack weight low and protects from the weather in challenging conditions. Made using super-fine yarns in a tight weave, Atmos is durable, windproof, and fast-drying with a high water resistance.
The cosy construction features a top layer of triple 100% recycled Stratus Eco insulation arranged in a concertina shape with a dual-layer of Stratus in the base. Stratus synthetic insulation mimics the performance of down in a lightweight, featherless package. TILT technology reduces radiant heat loss by up to 15% substantially improving thermal insulation without compromising pack size, breathability, or weight.
Elasticated internal quilting holds the lining and insulation closer to your body to reduce pockets of cold air. Localised quilting means that the stitching which holds the insulation in place has been minimised to reduce the chance of cold spots.
Additional features include a ¾ length main zip with baffle to prevent heat loss and an adjustable neck baffle to cinch in snug and retain heat.
