The Sausalito from Red Chili is an excellent shoe for climbers of all levels, giving a stiff edge for those pushing it and a solid platform for beginners. A recent makeover has given the Sausalito a wider appeal and even more performance; retaining the famous comfort fit and the added Impact Zone shock absorption system in the sole for unbeatable comfort without hindering performance.
Technical changes include a flexible rubber toe patch for extra support, longevity, and added control for crack-addicts. The improved 'slingshot' 2-piece heel works better and wraps the heel for a higher performance fit. The laces offer a tight, customisable fit to suit a huge range of feet with a 5mm sole and durable last meaning these shoes will take some abuse and still perform outstandingly.

good alpine rock shoe
This is not a technical climbing shoe but it has good padding, a fairly forgiving toe box and is very comfortable for long days out on less technical, long routes. Plus it's at a much more affordable price point than the super sticky, unbearably narrow and arched technical shoe.
