About the Ride Mountain Pig
The 2020 Ride MTNPig snowboard is an incredibly fun and versatile all mountain board that is going to shine in all conditions from deep powder to hard pack!
The MTN Pig is a directional shape utilizing a directional hybrid camber profile. The directional profile of the MTN Pig makes this such a versatile snowboard and perfect for crossing between terrains. The set back stance allows you to have loads of power under your back foot, perfect for carving in the deepest of powder. The directional hybrid camber profile, this gives the board a playful but controlled feel, the traditional camber from your front foot to tail gives you loads of edge hold in firmer conditions and carvibility in powder. Whilst the rocker from front foot to nose allows for nice buttery turns off of the nose and less catch in deep snow.
Along with the directional shape and camber profile, the tail profile is geared towards powder riding. The half moon shaped tail cuts deep into powder and helps to raise the nose, allowing the board to float on top of deep snow so ypou'll never get yourself buried.
Another piece of technology that the MTN Pig encompasses are the Carbon Slimewalls alongside the Carbon Array 5 tec. The Slimewalls are made from ductile and urethane, which absorbs heavy impact, whilst the Carbon Array 5 laminates underfoot disperse impact and chatter. This allows for greater edge-to-edge response and snappy pop, whilst putting the power where you want it.
The MTN Pig is a truly versatile snowboard ready to ride hard and fast round the entire mountain, from piste to pow.
- Tapered Shape - Tapered, shorter, wider shape allows for a more maneuverable snowboard that can hit the big kickers yet still float in the deep stuff
- Linear Quadratic Sidecut - A directional sidecut utilizing Quadratic curvature from the tip to the rear insert pack, then progressing into a linear section into the tail. This creates smooth catch-free turn initiation and powerful support through the turn exit without losing grip
- Performance Core - High strength Aspen is combined with Bamboo and lightweight Paulownia wood to provide the perfect balance of strength and low weight
- Double Impact Plates - Added beneath each binding to prevent board breaks and enhance compressive strength
- Carbon Array 5 Laminates - Widespread carbon stringers placed at binding zone give more response to pressure from any angles, which is then channeled to opposing contact point for maximum board control and better pop for ollies
- Carbon Infused Glass - Carbon fibers are stitched into the glass at 90 degrees to the boards lengt. This gives extra pop and response, without increasing the board's stiffness
- Birch Veneer Topsheet - Real wood Birch veneer topsheet sealed with urethane for a unique look and a smooth ride
- Carbon Slimewalls® - This unique sidewall combines layers of urethane and carbon strategically placed from the back inserts to the contact points in the tail. The carbon pop construction runs on the outside edge of the board, which enhances the rider’s experience, providing better stability and enhanced response.
