About the Ride Smokescreen
The Ride Smokescreen is an all-mountain snowboard that uses Ride's high-end construction and materials but for a really great price.
Ride have used their Performance Core, which is constructed using Aspen/Paulownia with Bamboo to create a perfect balance of strength and lightness. The core has a mellow, playful flex which gives the Smokescreen a nice and forgiving ride! The Direction Hybrid Rocker profile offers response, due to camber being used between the feet, and easy turn initiation and better float thanks to the early rise rocker in the tip and tail.
The Smokescreen features an Elliptical Progressive Sidecut that combines tight elliptical curvature at the tip and tail, to provide low-speed turn initiation and response, with a larger radial section between the feet for high-speed stability.
Urethane Slimewalls are a fantastic feature to absorb impacts and smooth out the chatter on snow or any surface you hit, these sidewalls are virtually indestructible! Double impact plates, located underfoot beneath the binding areas help improve durability when compressing the board, preventing board breaks needed for park abuse.
Ride have used Carbon Array Laminates in the construction of the Smokescreen which consists of widespread carbon stringers placed at the binding zone that allow for rider input to be channelled to the opposing contact point for maximum board control.

- Hybrid Glass - Flat and more consistent fibreglass ensuring no gaps or stretching on the board. Consists of a triaxial cover on the deck, biaxial on the base which balances the torsion stiffness for a better response with speed
- Carbon Array 3™ Laminates - This power distribution technology provides total board control in every stance location. Widespread carbon stringers placed at the binding zone gather input from any stance width and all pressure angles. Rider input is then channelled to the opposing contact point for maximum board control.
- Topless Construction - By transferring graphics directly to the fiberglass, Topless Construction removes the need to have any topsheet material. This process improves overall durability and reduces weight.
- Slimewalls - RIDE’s exclusive Slimewalls are forgiving and ductile, absorbing impacts rather than defending against them. Just like your skate wheels, the urethane in Slimewalls smooths the interaction with the snow, wood or metal surfaces you may ride on. On top of all that, these babies are virtually indestructible, the most durable sidewalls in snowboarding
