About the Ride Warpig
The Warpig from Ride is an incredibly fun and versatile all-mountain snowboard that boasts a Snowboard World Championship title from Brandon Davis.
Packed with technological features for a manoeuvrable board, Ride's Warpig floats like it's twice the size. Whether for piste or powder, the Warpig's unique, tapered shaping ensures freestyle fun. A medium flex and directional rocker profile ensure the board has a perfect pop-to-press ratio adding liveliness to an already playful ride.
Offering speed along with necessary durability, a sintered base eases the board's upkeep by absorbing more wax. Equally, a topless construction means graphics are transferred directly onto the fibreglass to reduce weight and improve longevity. To enhance the Warpig's durability further, Slimewalls technology imitates skate wheels to absorb high impacts rather than react against them. A Roll-In 3D Construction then surrounds the urethane Slimewall, made with tough fibreglass, to increase board strength and reduce the weight.
Carbon Array 3 Laminates prioritize power distribution to allow total board control in every stance location, at any angle and at any pressure. By adding wide carbon stringers to the binding zones, the rider input is channelled to the opposing contact point for optimum board control. This is combined with Performance Core tuning which fuses high-strength Aspen, Bamboo and Paulownia wood, to equally balance strength with lightness.
The edges are protected by Cleave Edge Steel technology, which envelopes the full perimeter to prevent de-lamination. Using 50% more steel, this technology delivers superb resistance to edge-cracking and can be detuned to a wider radius. Along with a Hybrid Glass construction, a combination of triaxial fibreglass on top and biaxial on the base results in better response at speed, whilst still being playful and fun at lower speeds on the warping.
The Ride Warpig's versatility of features makes this snowboard a great choice for all-terrain & all progressing riders to give them the inspiration to push themselves to the limit!
- Tapered Shape - Tapered, shorter, wider shape allows for a more maneuverable snowboard that can lap the park yet still float you like it's twice the size
- Bi-Radial Sidecut - A twin sidecut which allows for the underfoot width of a wide board but with the tip/tail width of a standard size. This design provides improved leverage on landings, grip through turns and stability on flat base
- Double Impact Plates - Added underneath each binding area to improve compressive strength and prevent board breaks where it matters most
- Performance Core - Premium woods of Aspen, Bamboo and lightweight Paulownia wood combined for lightweight strength and performance also giving the board more snap
- Hybrid Glass - Flat and more consistent fibreglass ensuring no gaps or stretching on the board. Consists of a triaxial cover on the deck, biaxial on the base which balances the torsion stiffness for a better response with speed
- Carbon Array 3 Laminates - Widespread carbon stringers placed at binding zone give more response to pressure from any angles, which is then channeled to opposing contact point for maximum board control and better pop for ollies
- Cleave Edges - Nearly 50% more steel than traditional edges helping to prevent cracking but can also be detuned to larger radii, this single piece of steel wraps around the entire perimeter of the board to give incredible de-lamination protection
