About the Salewa ATC Alpine Tuber
The Alpine Tuber Guide belay is a lightweight dual-grooved belay/rappel device. The Tuber is built for smash-and-grab ascents in the mountains at just 84 grams, this lightweight belay/rappel device is optimised for ropes between 7.7 and 11 millimetres in diameter making it a powerhouse belay that can do just about anything.
The ATC Alpine Tuber Guide can be used in guide mode for one or two climbers to ascend or descend simultaneously. Belaying off anchors is facilitated with this piece of kit, as is rappelling and hauling up the rest of your gear. Highly recommended for trad climbers and climbing in alpine conditions, this versatile device can of course function in simple gym scenarios too.
