Salomon have a long history of making ski bindings, and as a result they make some of the best on the market today.

The Guardian MNC touring ski bindings are perfect for anyone who is serious about riding off piste and back country. The heel can be released off the ski so you can tour to access pristine powder, an untouched faces. This system is simple, the heel can be released and reattached without the need to remove the skis, therefore you can go straight from walking, to charging down the mountain.

The toe and heel pieces are attached by two strong, lightweight aluminium tubes, this construction is not only durable, but it increases the amount of energy that is transferred to the ski for maximum downhill performance. The boot sits low to the ski for increased terrain feedback and enhanced power transmission.

These bindings are multi-norm certified (MNC), so they will fit Alpine, WTR and ISO 9523 certified touring boots. The area which connects the binding to the ski is designed to be able to flex, therefore the skis natural flex pattern is not affected.

We would recommend these bindings for advanced and expert riders who wan't a binding they can take deep into the backcountry, but still have it perform like a high performance downhill binding when they drop to the biggest lines.

With a slightly lower DIN range than the Guardian 16 we would recommend the Guardian 13 for lighter, or less experienced skiers.
