About the Salomon Highlander
The 2021 Highlander is a great addition to Salomon's incredible range of snowboard bindings. Developed for all-mountain dominance, this binding will deliver powerful response and comfortable control across any type of terrain.
The shadow fit baseplate features a unique flexible heel loop and completely anatomical fit to provide intuitive mobility without sacrificing performance. The end result is an ultralight binding that allows a natural connection to your board no matter what terrain you are riding. With added Kevlar Quickwire and Power Hook tech for maximum support and quick transmission of any movements you do on the mountain, this Kelvar cable works hand in hand with the soft heelcup to make these Shadow Fit bindings precise and ultra responsive.
The Minima highback has a unique 3D geometry shape, powered to offer controlled energy with long lasting power and precision during turns needed for all mountain riding. Salomons high end Shadow Lite ankle strap and a Locked-Up toe strap create an incredibly comfortable connection, with a lightweight, locked-in hold and excellent response. The Aluminium buckles/MP Ratchets ensure quick entry/exit, ultimate hold with minimal wear and tear.
An adjustable toe ramp means that you can easily customise the fit to your boot in order to optimise power transmission to the toe edge. The footbed itself has a lightweight Optivibe soft padding for extra cushioning and stability in high impact areas of the footbed. The 2.5 degree canted footbed will provide you with a more natural, comfortable stance improving board feel and reducing foot/leg fatigue to keep you riding longer and harder.
