About the Salomon MTN Explore 95
The 2020 MTN Explore skis are the most accessible model in Salomon's freeride range. The MTN Explore range is built to be light for hiking up, yet predictable and stable to give you the confidence coming back down.
The 95mm waist provides a solid platform that transfers from edge to edge, ideal for navigating through bumps and dynamic turns while powering through crud and powder.
The ski is built using a full wood Karuba core with a unique carbon/flax fibre layer running from tip tail. This provides stability and control while reducing weight within the ski. The C/FX layer helps reduce vibrations in the ski while also providing incredible stiffness for it's weight.
The ski also includes superlight Koroyd tip inserts. This ABS reinforced honeycomb design reudces the weight of the ski in the extremities, reducing it's swing weight and helps gives the tips extra dampening. This culinates in a dramatic increase in the manuaverability of the ski and allowing easy turning and steering on a rockered ski.
The MTN Explore 95 is the ideal ski for those seeking a lightweight touring/freeride ski for an easy hike up, but don't want to sacrifice on performance on the way back down.
