About the QST 92
The QST 92 is part of Salomon's freeride range for the 2021 season- Skis packed with technology and designed to break down the barrier between piste and backcountry and allow riders to take on whatever terrain they can find!
Measuring 92mm at the waist, this ski is by no means a dedicated powder machine, but with its wide, rockered tips and subtlety rockered tails it can easily dip off the side of the piste and glide over the deeper snow to be found between trees or under chairlifts. That rocker helps turn initiations stay smoothly simple, too, along with camber underfoot to keep the hard pack performance impressive all over.
When charging at high speeds on groomers, the 92 holds up well thanks to a new tip to tail carbon powered C/FX layer that takes the super charged construction to the next level for increased power and edge grip. This is done by weaving Flax fibers along with Carbon, it allows the ski to reap the benefits associated with carbon fibre -lightweight increase in torsional stiffness - while dampening and smoothing the ride quality.
The stability of this ski is further improved with the use of Cork damplifier technology which is exclusive to Salomon which reduced vibrations and chatter to improve stability.
The QST 92 is perfect for the All-Mountain skier who wants to be able to dive off the side of groomers at a moments notice and know that their skis won't let them down.
- Full Sandwich Sidewall - ABS construction running around the entire sidewall adds strength and increases ski/snow contact
- C/FX Superfiber - A weave of Carbon and Flax fibers improves torsional stiffness and dampens the ski while remaining extremely lightweight
- All-Terrain Rocker - Rockered tip for easy turn initiation and maximum floatation, camber underfoot to improve stability at speed and edge grip on hard pack, subtle tail rocker for smooth turn exits
- Hook Free Taper - The Ski has a sidecut which tapers in the tip and tail at their extremities, the result is easy turn initiation and manoeuvrability, especially in soft snow
- Full Woodcore - A full Poplar wood core running from tip to tail gives maximum stability and filters vibrations along the entire ski
- Power Transfer Platform - Titanium laminate in the centre of ski, improving the torsional stiffness and overall stability as well as helping power transmission to the edges of the ski when riding on hard snow
- Cork Damplifier Technology - Cork is 16 times more absorbing than Koroyd, by using it in the tip and the tail enables high levels of absorbtion and increased Stability while saving even more weight
