The QST Myriad 85 is a women's specific all-mountain ski from Salomon's beloved QST range. Skis packed with technology and designed to break down the barrier between piste and backcountry and allow riders to take on whatever terrain they can find!
As the narrowest model in the QST range, the Myriad is aimed primarily at those less experienced or more piste-focused skiers who are starting to put down their first turns in deep snow and off-piste. The narrower waist means this ski will go edge to edge faster than any of its wider relatives, which is ideal for laying down smooth carves on groomers, and the Power Transfer Platform's edge to edge titanal laminate across the centre of the ski keeps edge grip on tap for a smooth ride.
When delving into more varied conditions, the rockered tip will aid turn initiation and allow the ski to cruise over crud, slush and soft snow. The tips are also lightweight and maneuverable at speed thanks to the tapered shape, where the ski will also display strong stability thanks to traditional camber underfoot.
Any skier who has typically stuck to traditional piste skis and groomed terrain but is looking to expand their horizons to off-piste, powder or varied conditions, should definitely consider the 2017 Salomon QST 85 - an excellent first all-mountain ski for women.
All-Terrain Rocker - Rockered tip for easy turn initiation and maximum floatation, camber underfoot to improve stability at speed and edge grip on hard pack, subtle tail rocker for smooth turn exits
Single Ti - A layer of Titanal in the core gives the ski excellent energy transfer and edge grip for a lively and responsive ski
Full Poplar Woodcore - A full wood core running from tip to tail gives maximum stability and filters vibrations along the entire ski
Power Transfer Platform - Titanium laminate in the centre of ski, improving the torsional stiffness and overall stability as well as helping power transmission to the edges of the ski when riding on hard snow
