The new for 2020 Salomon S/Max ski boot is all about precision and performance on the pistes. This model is in a 98mm last and a medium flex of 110 for intermediate/advanced and heavier skiers.

Salomon has built these boots to be both strong and light. Race inspired ski boots are often heavy, this stems from the need to ensure rigidity throughout the boot. Salomon has avoided this weight by creating their Core-Frame reinforcement which stiffens the midfoot area, with this in place they were able to reduce weight in other areas in the boot. The result is a boot far lighter than is often found at this performance level.

New to this season is the Custom Fit 3D Pro Seamless liner, this is cut from comfortable heat mouldable foam without external or internal stitching and is pre-shaped for an instantly comfortable fit straight out of the box. This allows the liner to form around the foot to increase comfort and give a strong food hold.

The shell of the S/Max 110 ski boots is made from Salomon’s Custom Shell HD material which can be reliably customised during the heat fitting process to comfortably accommodate the wearer’s feet. This is especially helpful for those that want a performance narrow fit but have slightly wider feet, as the shell can be expanded in key areas to prevent pressure points.
