About the Scarpa Chimera
The Chimera is a premium climbing shoe from the iconic Scarpa, designed primarily from the popular Scarpa Drago and Furia.
The Chimera offers a really nice fit, providing ultimate comfort as you climb, and the fit is improved even more with the integrated asymmetric lacing system.
The SRT rand and hand built heel make for excellent heel and toe hooks. The featured TPS (Toe Power Support) plastic insert under the forefoot in the Chimera provides support to the toes whenever they are pushing down hard. When smearing, it stretches out increasing the contact surface for a better grip overall!
A Differentiated Tension System distributes pressure onto the big toe whilst keeping your foot in an optimal position for power transfer and precision, without interfering with the fit in other parts of the shoe.
An M50 rubber inlay in the heel will help you obtain a better hold and the outer heel is constructed with thin XSGrip2 which gives your feet greater sensitivity.
