Everything about the Scarpa Gea 2.0 has been completely redesigned for a women specific fit that offers ultimate weight saving but making no sacrifice to maximum energy transfer and response from ski boot to ski.
This boot is for skier who want to master the uphill and downhill skiing in equal measure without compromise on either, with a friction less 60° range of motion and only weighing 1250g the Gea makes skinning and uphill climbs easier and more efficient.
With a web frame design and Pebax tongue and 100 flex this boot still reacts and provides great downhill performance you would expect from an alpine boot without the bulk and yet covered in the latest tech. Every feature on this boot is designed with ease of use on the mountain in mind, features like finger straps and the Thor buckle system mean you can adjust your boots keeping your gloves on and the HRS strap can pivot ensuring you heel is retained without reducing the range of movement in the boot.
For a lightweight back country boot that's equally as good on the uphill as it is on the down the Scarpa Gea is a the perfect choice.
- Grilamid Shell and Cuff - This special Polyammide offers a good compromise between stiffness and rebound, allowing a gradual transmission of the impulses from the boot to the ski.
- Scarpa Cayman Pro Sole - Vibram sole made with TOP85 compound that offeres great durability and flex.
- Web Frame Design - specific sunburst design on the heel area that alternates different thickness in the shell wall. this offeres support in the key area of the boot while saving weight.
- Speed Lock Plus - The Ski/Walk mechanism is easy to unlock and lock thanks to the spring that improves the function of the lever. This walk mode does not comprise of a connecting rod, meaning whilst walking there is little to no friction.
- Air ventilation - Ventilation on the cuff, laminated with out-dry technology which allows air to circulate while keeping the liner dry at all times.
- Wave Closure system - Exclusively for Scarpa the wave delivers two buckles security with only the weight of one.
- HRS Strap - The Heel Retention System allows for great security and performance when skiing and keeps its position in the walking phase, it can also be micro adjusted for the perfect hold.
- Thor Buckle and Rack - Made form a magnesium alloy to keep the weight down with a tour lock lever to prevent the buckle undoing completely in walk mode.
- Evo Tongue - Made from Pebax the tongue is designed geometrically to flex natually when walking but down hill performance and power when the boot is secure for skiing.
