Combining an ultralight design with an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, the Slingfin Windsaber alpine tent redefines what's possible for a lightweight mountaineering shelter.

Featuring Slingfin's patented WebTruss and OutRigger attachment, the Windsaber is optimised to handle extreme weather. Unique to Slingfin, the WebTruss lets you pitch easily in high winds. Unlike standard pole sleeves, which can lead to pole breakage when pitched in windy conditions, the WebTruss lets you fully set up and tension the pole structure before clipping the tent body to the poles. The WebTruss effectively gives you the ease of a clip system with the strength of a sleeve system to hold the pole structure in tension for a greater strength-for-weight than traditional clip-style tents. WebTruss Technology includes the new clip system which allows the tent to be set up with or without the WebTruss depending on your preference.

The freestanding semi-geodesic design is quick to pitch with room enough for two people. The interior is shaped to maximize usable space with multiple pockets for storage. O-rings provide internal guyline compatibility, letting you tension the tent without venturing outside in poor weather.

The updated design features two zippered ripstop nylon doors with full mesh layer for ventilation and kickstand vents in the rainfly for unrestricted airflow. Condensation is kept to a minimum by the use of a through-vent on the tent body with a matching vent on the rainfly allowing for unimpeded ventilation. The tent body vent also features a drawstring mesh layer for use in buggy conditions. Crack open the top of the door, and you have a nice cross breeze that keeps condensation to a minimum.

A brow pole in the roof adds extra stability and steepens the wall angle for optimum internal space. The innovative OutRigger design also lets you attach trekking poles as additional uprights for further stability against harsh winds or snow-loading.

Slingfin uses only the finest grade fabrics and materials in their shelters. A lightweight 20D nylon ripstop flysheet and floor optimises pack-weight without compromising on strength. A silicone treatment - front and back - delivers reliable and long-lasting moisture protection. A 15D nylon ripstop for the inner canopy features additional DWR. The updated design now uses stronger 10.65mm DAC PL poles for added stability.
