About the Sweet Protection Igniter II MIPS

The Igniter II MIPS from Sweet Protection offers all-mountain performance with a minimal 500g weight. Like all Sweet Protection helmets, the Igniter interconnects layers of protection for effective low volume, lightweight, and impact cushioning.

Designed for the whole mountain, the helmet features Sweet's ABS Shell, a Superlight Thermoplastic outer Construction, combining an elastic injection-moulded thermoplastic with a rubber toughened construction to balance rigidity and flexibility. This shell confidently withstands high impacts whilst still ensuring the perfect performance to weight ratio.

Reinforced with innovative MIPS Technology, the helmet rotates relative to impacts on the head, absorbing more rotational force and significantly reducing impacts. Along with injury-reducing MIPS, the Igniter features 'Impact Shields' technology, an advanced EPS liner for another shock-absorbing structure. Integrating shields of varying densities, the liner manages pressure and energy efficiently, distributing impacts evenly over a larger surface area.

For further comfort, 26 vents allow a constant and customisable airflow throughout the helmet to ensure optimum breathability and temperature-regulation during snowsports. These vents are reinforced with perforated polycarbonate to avoid any penetrative damage.

A Polygiene liner offers moisture management whilst an Occi Grip retention system provides an adjustable, personalised fit. For all-day comfort, warmth and convenience, soft earpads are included but can be swapped out for audio drop-ins (sold separately) to easily access music on the slopes. The strap features a fast opening buckle and interior liner is updated to be easily adjusted.
