About the Volkl Mantra M6
The Iconic Mantra M6 has tip and tail rockers and a multilayer wood core once more, however, the ski has now been modified using a 3D radius sidecut concept and a customised Titanal frame.
The tip and tail ends may be made lighter, and the torsional stiffness can be changed to enhance the riding characteristics, by simply adjusting the Titanal components to the different ski lengths and subsequently to the skier's proportions. As a result, the Mantra M6 is noticeably lighter and easier to manage while maintaining the typical solidity of a Titanal ski.
A Multi-Layer Wood Core uses 2 different kinds of wood for different areas of the ski; Beech is used underfoot to provide stability and secure screw retention. Poplar at either end provides resilience and snap. The customised carbon tip further improves the Mantra M6's improved handling qualities. A precise tip response is produced by the carbon fibre's strategic placement, creating a high level of torsional stiffness.
