There has always been a distinctive buzz about Friends. Wild Country knows more about cams than any other company, and their legacy began with the iconic Friend. Easily the most important and desired component of any contemporary trad rack, Friends have a world-renowned reputation – perfect for any crag from Stanage to Yosemite.

With the original Friend design from 1977 as a platform, Wild Country have only improved and refined the Friend to become an innovative hallmark of trad climbing gear. Ergonomically developed and user friendly, these new friends have a multitude of features to establish themselves as a stand out choice in a competitive market.

A twin axle construction, with a 13.75 constant cam angle, providing excellent balance and range, is at the core of the Friend's design. Innovative hollow axles ensure maximum stiffness, whilst also reducing weight, meanwhile: wide, skimmed lobes offer unparalleled grip and reduce unnatural rock abrasion. To save time and weight, a 12mm extendable dyneema is attached to the device, removing the necessity for a quick draw. This additional utility is complemented by the convenience and comfort of a thumb loop.
