About the Deuter Freerider 24 SL

Updated for the new season, the Freerider 24 SL for women has undergone a range of design changes. A streamlined profile reduces excess bulk for smooth transitions from lifts to slope. Additionally, attachment webbing and loops can be stowed in garages for a cleaner profile reducing the risk of snagging on flora when descending.

As a true mountain pack the Freerider uses Deuter’s Alpine back system. Two softstrip back pads run latterally down the length of the back, these contour to the users movements while facilitating airflow through the spinal channel. Pre shaped shoulder straps are complemented by load lifters to pull the weight forward in line with your posture, minimising the feeling of the bag pulling you back.

The Derlin U frame facilitates stability when carrying the heaviest of loads and effectively transfers the weight into the padded hip belt. This removes strain from your upper back allowing you to hike, climb and descend without upper body restrictions. As previously mentioned hip fins are padded so not to dig into your waist, these are fitted with pull forward webbing allowing for a precise fit.

Designed for winter activities, the pack has a range of snowsport specific features. The Freerider is capable of ski, snowboard and snowshoe carry through use of webbing loops and buckles. It features a snow shovel specific pocket for ease of storage in addition to probe, pole and ice axe attachment loops. Included in the pack is a removable foam sitting mat to reduce the effect of heat conduction while on lunch stops or breaks.

Made from lighter weight 210D PA nylon in combination with 600D PES polyester the pack exceptional abrasion resistance without compromising on weight. In case of the unexpected a high vis internal SOS label provides vital information should an emergency occur.
