About the Deuter Futura 24 SL

The Deuter Futura 24 SL has also been specifically engineered for the highest level of load-bearing and comfort to keep you hiking for miles.

The Futura 24 SL is constructed from a combination of Deuter fabrics. The base and front panels of the pack are made from Deuter’s Ripstop, a 210 denier nylon that is ultra robust and coated in a premium quality Polyurethane, providing exceptional durability for hard wearing areas. The remainder of the pack is constructed from Deuter Super Polytex, a robust fabric suitable for multidiscipline.

The Deuter Aircomfort System, utilises a mesh backing that sits flush onto the back that reduces sweating by up to 25%. Combining both round and flat steel into the profile of the frame gives Deuter’s Flexlite system both dexterity of motion and is capable of transferring the weight effectively into the hip belts for load bearing comfort. This semi geodesic frame provides the backing for Deuter’s patented 3-sided ventilation system.

Deuter's Slim line or Short Length packs are designed in collaboration with the female ambassadors to offer an improved tailored fit for the athletic female figure. The SL range also suits slender men and youth who have shorter torsos and slender frames. The SL features lower than standard shoulder strap anchor points, which are fundamental in ensuring an anatomically optimum fit for the shoulders and waist. The tapered shape of the hip belt combined with anchor points that slant upwards further add to the tailoring of the SL line towards the female anatomy whilst pre-shaped pull forward hip fins hug into the hip-belts reducing the excess space between the user and the backpack.

The SL line straps provide an enhanced fit around the upper body, where shorter and narrower shoulder straps accommodate the shorter physique. Pressure points are reduced to combat any chafing whilst a contoured “S” shape conforms around sensitive areas and hug the pack to the user.

Load lifters at the top of the shoulder straps allow for the user to cinch the load forward. Allowing for weight to be distributed parallel to the spinal cord for vertical load bearing comfort. This ensures the pack has an anatomically stable fit, paramount for all day comfort.

External pockets on the side provide easy access for water bottles or maps and compression straps allow the pack volume to be cinched down to increase stability. A stretch compartment on the inside of the back provides a stow location for wet clothing whilst a lid compartment provides easy access to your essentials. Trekking pole loops are available to facilitate the transportation of poles when they aren't in use. An integrated rain cover protects your gear from rain and mud and is housed comfortably under the bag.
