At Absolute-Snow, we’re proud to stock Lib Tech snowboards—innovative, rider-driven boards known for their groundbreaking shapes and high-performance tech.

One of the key factors that defines how any snowboard feels and performs is its contour. Simply put, the contour is the profile of the board when viewed from the side, and it plays a huge role in determining how your snowboard rides across different snow conditions, terrain types, and riding styles.

For winter 2025/26, Lib Tech offers a range of contours, each engineered for a specific feel—from beginner-friendly surfy float to precision control for hard-charging pros. Here’s a complete guide to Lib Tech’s contours, so you can find your perfect ride.

What Is a Snowboard Contour?

A snowboard contour refers to the blend of rocker (reverse camber) and camber (traditional arch) across the board’s profile.

The shape affects:
Stability
Manoeuvrability
Float in powder
Edge hold
Turn initiation
Pop and power

Lib Tech uses a hybrid approach for the majority of their line, to rocker and camber, offering a mix of features that work together to give each board its unique personality.

Presses and jibs beautifully thanks to built-in rocker
Floats naturally in powder, switch or regular
Beginner-friendly but still fun for pros

Traditional Camber – Maximum Power and Control

The classic profile, dialled by pioneers. Lib Tech’s camber variations evolved from decades of experimentation, from the first boards that worked on hardpack to race boards in the 80s & 90s to modern powerful freestyle designs.

Key Features:
Precise turns with max energy return
Excellent pop and stability
Best for riders who like a locked-in, aggressive ride
Early Rise Camber, such as on Rocket, Lib Rig & DPR, are super fun rides, with the power and precision of traditional camber, but still super playful and easier to ride.
