Pretty Faces, the All-Girls Ski and Snowboard Film is coming to the UK for the first time, presented by Finest Hour Clothing and Armada Skis. On the 7th of November there will be a screening of the film and a Girls Shred Night at The Snow Centre, Hemel Hempstead!
Alongside an all-girls shred and jam session, a mini competition for everyone with prizes from the awesome sponsors, coaching from some of the top UK female skiers and snowboarders (to be announced) followed last but not least by prize giving and the first UK showing of Pretty Faces: The Story of a Skier Girl.
Pretty Faces is a film celebrating women who thrive in the snow. The concept for the film was originated by professional big mountain skier and SheJumps co-founder, Lynsey Dyer with the objective of giving women and girls, young and old, a source of inspiration through a unique look at what is possible when boundaries are broken, dreams captured and friendships cultivated.
In Lynsey’s words:
“I wanted to give young girls something positive to look up to…I wanted to give them their Blizzard of Ahhs, Ski Movie or High Life, but done in a way that also shows the elegance, grace, community and style that is unique to women in the mountains.”
All proceeds from the event will go towards the SheJumps foundation, a charity that looks to get more girls in the outdoors. Check their awesome work at http://www.shejumps.org/.
It's not just for girls either, boys dressed in bikinis donning a Unicorn costume are also welcome to join in! (Boys of any age are welcome really).
Absolute-Snow will be there so we’re looking forward to seeing you there too!!!
