I wanted a waterproof Mid boot which was lightweight, comfortable and durable.
First time out I had no issues they were like slippers. For me the boot has to be wide enough so as not to pinch, but not too wide as to be boaty. This was achieved without going to a wide fit.
My other major consideration is how they perform on stony surfaces, I found this to be more than acceptable, it's a bit of a trade off between a stiffer sole and the comfort of a sole that is a little more flexible.
I'm a big fan of the rubber rand as protection around the front and sides.
I applied Nikwax suede/ nubuck waterproofing, this worked brilliantly, I tested them in water as I walked.
My first walk was 12 miles, which is a good distance for a test run.
All in all a great waterproof lightweight boot.

Reluctant to go the full ????? review but so far so good. I recently ended up with these shoes following the abject failure of two competitors waterproof footwear not even coping with walking through wet grass a few inches high!
So, with that in mind, absolutely delighted to say no such issues here. Also, a very pleasing looking piece of footwear generally - really nice soft blue leather upper coupled with a superbly grippy vibram sole. Has coped with the terrain and weather [inc. Storm Bert!] while also being comfortable out of the box and feeling good after approx. 20-miles, so far.
Fingers are crossed that waterproof properties remain for the seasons ahead but pretty content given the pain of getting to this point.
PS: Particularly love the idea of the potential for a resole down the line too. Not only environmentally aware but, in theory, confident of relative longevity of the uppers too.
