About the Beal Air Force 3
The Beal Air Force 3 is compatible with single ropes but has been specifically designed to work with twin and half ropes ranging from 7.3mm to 10mm in diameter. It has friction V-grooves to offer additional traction and control when braking with optimal energy absorption when catching a leader's fall.
The Air Force 3 is guide mode enabled, so with a solid anchor built, the leader can belay one or two seconds simultaneously. The design's ergonomic shape will reduce rope abrasion to give your gear a longer lifespan.
Belaying off anchors is facilitated with this piece of kit, as is rappelling and hauling up the rest of your gear. Highly recommended for trad climbers and climbing in alpine conditions. this versatile device can of course function in simple gym scenarios too.
