RURP otherwise know as Realized Ultimate Reality Piton, they excel on horizontal cracks and under roofs. Used in bottoming incipient cracks they were developed off of the back of Chouinard.
When all else fails on dicey aid, the RURP’s keen ability to hold in incipient cracks opens up otherwise unclimbable lines. The RURP is cut from 4130 CrMo steel and comes with a wired cable for durability.
A must-have for any thin crack aid line.
