The Sabretooth Clip Crampon from Black Diamond gives you a lightweight all-around crampon built to tackle a variety of frozen objectives from moderate ice flows to technical alpine faces.
Tool-free adjustment makes the Sabretooth quick and convenient to use with the Clip version featuring a heel bale and malleable toe cradle that works with B2 & B3 rated mountain boots. A low-profile micro-adjust heel bale offers a precision fit for added security.
The Sabretooth's stainless steel construction features 14 durable points with twin horizontal front points and increased rocker in the front rail to accommodate modern mountain boots. A set of dual secondary points are optimized for technical precision while maintaining a balanced, stable platform on descents and lower angle terrain. Anti-ball plates feature as standard to prevent the build-up of wet snow and ice underfoot which can otherwise render the crampon's grip ineffective and lead to slips and falls.
For use with ski boots, you will want to order wide toe bails (sold separately). The two parts are designed to fit together - points inward - to be stowed safely when not in use.
