The Bluebird Evo ice axe from Blue Ice gives you a classic mountaineering piolet with a highly technical construction. The Bluebird Evo's design is optimised for very steep snow slopes and icy couloirs, with a curved shaft design for greater clearance in challenging terrain. It features a hot-forged head and spike for maximum strength and bite on hard ice with a special surface treatment to prevent rust.

An ergonomic head offers a comfortable grip when used in the 'cane' position, while the improved pick design delivers technical performance. Both the head and spike include a large eyelet to accommodate a carabiner clip or leash. Shaft construction uses aircraft-grade anodised aluminium, sandblasted for improved grip.
