About the Blue Ice Yeti Backpack

The Yeti 50 litre backpack from Blue Ice gives you a light and versatile large-sized bag, as equally at home on alpine tours as forest treks. The spacious size makes it a great multi-day hiking and climbing/touring pack, offering enough room and external attachments for ski-mountaineering gear to camping essentials.

Lightweight 210D nylon ripstop in the main body keeps the weight to a minimum while a 420D nylon in the lower portion provides a tough, abrasion resistant base. The padded, thermoformed back panel conforms to the shape of your back for a snug fit with lateral channelling for cooling airflow. A padded hip-belt and load stabiliser straps centre and direct the weight onto your hips rather than the spine to reduce strain and maximise comfort and carrying efficiency.

The rucksack's main compartment is accessed by a fast toggle and snow-skirt system and features a hydration reservoir pocket and drinking tube port with a securing loop on the shoulder strap. The lid features two zip pockets to store smaller items and detaches to form a 'lumbar pack' that can be attached to a climbing harness or the removable waist belt to give you storage for essentials on side trips.

Trekking poles and ice tools can be stowed on external carry toggles, and a rope carrying system secures your climbing rope at the head of the pack and can be tucked away when not in use. Side compression straps let you attach skis or a snowboard to give you a fantastic alpine backcountry pack, ideal for hut trips and tours.

The modular design lets you strip out the aluminium support frame and non-essential components to reduce the pack down to a light and robust 900g.
