Heat Holders socks and clothing are exceptionally warm due to a unique three-stage thermal construction that focuses on trapping and holding warm air against the body. First, they use a specially developed advanced thermal yarn made with a blend of acrylic, nylon, polyester and elastane. This yarn is designed to provide high-performance insulation while minimizing moisture. Next, a patented long-loop cushion pile knitting technology creates a thick, plush inner layer. This pile is crucial for trapping and holding a significant amount of warm air close to the skin. Finally, the inside of the garment is intensely brushed in a proprietary process, which maximizes the amount of air held within the fabric. This combination of advanced yarn, long-loop pile and brushing results in a high Thermal Overall Grade (TOG) rating, indicating superior insulation and warmth. This method is so effective that Heat Holders are scientifically proven to be significantly warmer than standard cotton socks.

Heat Holders was founded by David Doughty in the UK in 2008. After a cold day watching his son play football, Doughty, who had a long career in the sock industry, was frustrated that his "thermal" socks didn't keep his feet warm. Recognizing that a push for cheaper products had sacrificed quality, he set out to create the warmest sock possible. After two years of development, he created the unique three-stage process that became the foundation of the Heat Holders brand.
