Vango is one of the great British brands in the world of hiking and camping. Vango is most famous for its pioneering AirBeam® technology which revolutionised family camping. This innovation replaces traditional tent poles with inflatable beams, allowing for extremely fast and stress-free pitching of large tents. AirBeam has become the industry standard for family tents and caravan / motorhome awnings.

Vango produces a wide range of tents but also produces a full range of camping gear and equipment including sleeping bags, mats and beds, rucksacks and backpacks - including those recommended by the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme - and camping furniture like chairs and tables as well as equipment for your camp kitchen, like stoves, cookware, and cool boxes.

Vango was founded in Glasgow in 1966, by Alastair Moodie in a suburb of Govan. The name "Vango" is an anagram of Govan. From the beginning, Vango has been inspired by the rugged landscapes and unpredictable weather of the Scottish Highlands, which influenced its focus on practical, reliable and durable tents and camping equipment. One of Vango’s first big winners was the Vango Force Ten Tent, synonymous with tough, high-performance expeditions. This orange A-frame tent, without a ridge pole, is a classic piece of British design.
