The Ion Boa includes Burton's Shrinkage technology which is a reduced footprint of one full size, so a size 11 will have the same footprint as other brands' size 10 boots. This opens you up to more board options and helps reduce heel and toe drag when carving.

The Ion Boa also comes fitted with Burton's awesome Focus Boa system. This dual-zone system allows you to quickly tighten the boot with a simple twist of a dial. Simply pop out the boa dial and the boot loosens up to be easily removed. Getting boots on and off has never been easier.

The Life Liner uses Ultralon performance foam in the body to give a secure yet comfortable fit with no heel lift. It also includes a Level 3 EVA foam footbed with cushioning and support for even more plush comfort. Add to this the fact that it's heat-moldable again and again and you get a boot that runs from season start to season end without breaking down.

Burton's Optimised EST midsole gives you a better board feel with improved comfort and it's also canted to reduce pressure on the knees and ankles. This boot also includes Burton's sleeping bag reflective foil to reflect heat towards your foot so you will never get cold feet.
