About the Burton Men'S Ion Boa® Snowboard Boots

What is the Burton Ion Boa good for?

Designed for confident all-mountain riders seeking reliable, high-performance boots that allow them to go fast and tackle any terrain. With advanced technology and a stiff flex, the Ion Boa is perfect for those pushing their limits, from steep descents to carving through varied snow conditions.

Who is the Burton Ion Boa good for?

Ideal for experienced snowboarders who know their way around the mountain and demand power and precision from their boots. It's a great fit for riders who want comfort without sacrificing response, particularly those who need durability and support for aggressive riding styles.

When and where should the Burton Ion Boa be used?

These boots are perfect for all-mountain riding in both resort and backcountry settings. The heat-reflective foil ensures warmth even in colder winter conditions, while the stiff construction provides stability and control on challenging trails. They're suitable for full-season use, from early-season carving to late-season snowpark sessions.

How will some of the key features of the Burton Ion Boa enhance my experience?

The Ion Boa combines Burton’s Shrinkage tech with the Focus Boa system, offering a precise fit and reduced boot footprint—ideal for minimising toe and heel drag. The Life Liner, crafted from Ultralon performance foam, moulds to your foot, reducing heel lift and ensuring long-lasting comfort, while the Optimised EST midsole enhances board feel and relieves pressure on knees and ankles. Burton’s sleeping bag reflective foil ensures warmth, so cold feet won’t hold you back.

Why choose the Burton Ion Boa?

The Burton Ion Boa stands out as one of the most advanced all-mountain boots, providing a responsive and comfortable fit alongside innovative features designed for durability and performance. It’s built to last from season start to end, giving you confidence wherever you ride. Choose the Ion Boa for the ultimate in power, comfort, and versatility.

I have had Burton Ion boots in the past and they were great. This new model seems perfect. Only tried them on to set up the board so far, but with over 30 years experience I think they should meet my desire for a fast all mountain set up (carving etc). They pair nicely with my Now bindings which are basically the same as Jones Mercury. I don't do park riding, but I would say they're probably too stiff. Interestingly they feel like they will help take out some of the chatter in icy conditions as the sole has a bit of give. The tread pattern should also be stellar for grip. The picture is yours truly on a Burton Air circa 1996 in Sauze d'Oulx, more interesting than a shot of the boots.
