The OSMO Mobile 2 has been designed for filming on the go. Weighing only 485g the electronic gimbal is exceptionally lightweight, ideal for travel. Constructed from a high strength composite the OSMO Mobile 2 is highly durable with a significantly lower weight than its predecessor, ideal for daily use. The updated design is foldable allowing for improved portability. For protection, the OSMO Mobile 2 comes in a hard foam case with small internal slot for the included charging cable.

Built for on the go filming, the electronic gimbal features an array of technology and smart capture modes for professional grade footage. The device has an ample 15-hour battery life for day-long use. A USB slot in the rear of the gimble allows the OSMO Mobile to become a battery pack, charging your phone on the go.

Unlike traditional gimbals for mobile devices, the OSMO Mobile 2 mounting system is highly adjustable and even allows phones to be shot vertically in addition to horizontally, ideal for selfies. A Spring grip clamp locks the phone securely in place and a screw dial allows the phone to be switched between portrait and landscape shooting modes. Through the use of a 3 axis gimbal, the device allows for smooth footage without the use of DJI’s smart features.

When in use with DJIs free compatible mobile app, DJI GO, complex algorithms ensure a higher grade of footage. Like DJI’s renowned drones, the OSMO Mobile 2 features the industry-leading Active Track shooting mode. Active track locks onto a subject keeping them as the focal point of the frame regardless of where they move.

To show a scene involving movement over a set period of time the OSMO feature ‘Timelapse’, where you can set intervals of shots between 0.5 and 60 seconds. Motion Lapse is an updated variant of the Time Lapse setting where you can set the OSMO to move between up to 5 points during the shot, it is ideal for use when revealing an image. For creating a timelapse shot on the move Hyperlapse can be used where thanks to the 3D stabilization OSMO produces exceptionally still footage.

In addition to the intelligent shooting options of the OSMO, the grip features a zoom slider. The zoom slider allows cinematic zoom control that when used in conjunction with movement forwards can be used to produce Parallax Effect film footage, allowing you to stand out for the crowd.

For photography, the OSMO Mobile 2 features a range of features that improve upon your phone's camera abilities. Single shot, burst is what you’d expect off a smartphone as standard, however, Panorama and Long Exposure options are game changers for cell phone photographers.

Standard Panorama mode will take an array of photos, two in height and three in width, are stitched together providing a wider angle image, whilst keeping the resolution. 180 Panorama will rotate the OSMO along a plane capturing a wider scene. While Ultra Wide takes a range of photos stitching them together to create a 360 scene. Long Exposure captures and smooths motion, ideal for shots involving moving environment and LightTrail captures the motion of moving light; perfect for artistic light painting.

A mounting hole at the bottom of the OSMO Mobile 2 consists of the industry standard ¼ - 20 UNC thread, so the device is compatible with 3rd party mounting accessories. This allows the OSMO to be mounted in a fixed position on a tripod allowing for improved image sharpness.
