Deuter’s Aircontact 65 + 10 is aimed towards those who require a low weight pack with all the functionality of a traditional bag. The pack is the ideal size for through-hiking or long-distance adventures where the changeable capacity allows you to carry more or less.

Incorporated into the design is Deuter’s Aircontact system, where the anatomical profiled X frame offers a balance of torsional rigidity and flexibility to follow your body movements, and transfers weight through it's perfect back fit. Breathable padding with venting foam chambers circulates air through the Aircontact cushions keeping your back cool, this will reduce perspiration for long treks and tours. This back system also features Deuter's VariQuick adjustment system, allowing you to change the back length with ease for a comfortable fit.

The Pivoting ActiveFit shoulder harness straps are flexible and automatically adapt to the shoulder's width and angle. Their anatomical S-shape follows the neck and shoulder contour and thus prevents chafing or pressure points and the pivoting VariFlex hip belt are 3D ergonomically shaped to distribute weight evenly to reduce fatigue on long treks, this ensures you get the best comfort during heavy loads. On top of that the Stabiliser shoulder strap tech and Pull Forward belt system allows the user to cinch the load forward for weight to be distributed parallel to the spinal cord for vertical load bearing comfort. This ensures the pack has an anatomically stable fit, paramount for all day comfort.

Like conventional multi-day backpacks the Aircontact 65 + 10 is a top loading design, with a separate lower compartment for storage of a sleeping bag or bulkier items. Elasticated pockets on the side of the pack give easy access to those vital items like water bottles, maps or tent poles. Similarly, zippered hip belt pockets can be used to keep small essentials close to hand and the large 2-way front zip also grants you rapid access to your main gear.

The generously sized main compartment of the Aircontact 65 + 10 features a sleeve and clip that can be used to house a separate 3 litre hydration bladder. Additional volume can be facilitated through use of the extendable lid to gain an extra 10 litres, enabling you to carry more. Moreover, on the face of the pack a separate elastic mesh sleeve can be used to store wet, smelly kit in order to stop it compromising clothing inside the bag. The pack also features handy trekking pole and ice axe holders to keep them secure when not in use and a removable rain cover gives your rucksack extra protection against the weather.
