About the Evolv Phantom

The Evolv Phantom are an aggressively shaped, downturned climbing shoe designed to tackle the most technical bouldering routes. Designed with renowned climbers Paul Robinson and Daniel Woods, the Phantom represents the pinnacle of Evolv's line of bouldering shoes.

A two-way stretch neoprene upper allows for knuckle flex in the toe box, expanding when flexed and rebounding when not to alleviate hotspots and maintain performance over time, whilst a 6-point single pull compression system ensures a comfy and tight fit. This unique closure system cinches the foot in tightly and makes for an easily combustible fit.

The Dark Spine S heel and rubber construction make these shoes a workhorse of power, performance and precision, enabling steep edging and responsive heel hooks and allowing you to tackle the bouldering walls and rock courses with ease and expertise.

For a vegan, highly specialist shoe, the Phantom is designed for advanced climbers tackling steep problems.

Technologies

Neoflex: A two-way stretch neoprene laminate allowing the Knuckle Box to expand when flexed and then rebound, for improved performance and fit.
The TPS+: Tension Power System Plus, a rubber midsole, maintaining the downturned toe, with an extra wing for enhanced arch support.
Compression Closure System: 6-point single-pull closure system with double D-ring and hook and loop that secures the foot in a superb fit.
Dark Spine S: (Sensitive), for improved structure and sensitivity for technical heel-hooking.
Molded VTR: Variable Thickness Rand (VTR) system puts thinner rand rubber in targeted areas to reduce pressure points, alongside thicker rubber for increased longevity, durability and performance.

Great shoe, but I’m not into punishing my feet with painful shoes when it’s really not necessary. I’m a 10.5 UK, so ordered that size, as per manufacturers recommendation… I had to return as too painful to wear. I ended up buying a UK 12, as that fitted just as well, but without the pain!
