About the Grayl UltraPress
Fill. Press. Drink - it's really that simple with the Grayl UltraPress water purifier and filter bottle.
Whether you're travelling light on the mountain trail or hostel hopping your way around South America, the question of clean drinking water is always foremost. The UltraPress gives you a fast and reliable way to filter and purify water from a wide range of sources.
The UltraPress uses an ion exchange and activated carbon filter system to filter and purify water from uncertain sources. The ion exchange captures pathogens (i.e. viruses, protozoa, bacteria) as dirty water is forced through the purifier media. At the same time, the activated carbon absorbs chemicals, heavy metals, flavours and odours. The result is purified water that is safe to drink at a fast flow rate of up to 3 litres per minute.
The award-winning OnePress™ global protection system uses no batteries, chemicals, pumping or sucking. Simply fill the bottle and - much like a coffee press - push down on the internal filter sleeve to force the water through the filter and into the clean water chamber.
Designed for the minimalist traveller and trekker the UltraPress water filter and purification system provides convenience, portability and a long lifespan making up to 150L (40 gal.) per filter. Using a Grayl UltraPress on your trip also helps reduce the amount of bottled water consumed which reduces the amount of plastic waste. Stored correctly (unused and airtight), filters can last up to 10 years.
The UltraPress also features a SoftPress pad for non-slip, anti-fatigued pressing alongside TopoGrip non-slip TPE on all heavy-use surfaces. A SimpleVent cap vents air while purifying; protects against cross-contamination, and allows for single-handed hydration via a fast-flow drink spout. The FlipCarry Handle rotates 90° for effortless separation (Inner Press from Outer ReFill) providing easy carry and a large pressing surface when flat.
From river trips and alpine treks to global travel and even as part of a home disaster kit, the UltraPress water filter from Grayl offers peace of mind in getting a supply of safe drinking water wherever you go.
