About the Handi SOS for Android, Kids

The Handi SOS uses Bluetooth to connect to your child’s smartphone. When activated sends out an emergency distress text with a map location of exactly where they are to you and a group friends of your choosing. Individuals can then call your child to check on their status or follow maps directions to their location.

We at Absolute Snow believe Handi should be worn by all children heading out on activities such as skiing, snowboarding, playing outdoors and heading to school. With increasing crime rates the device provides children with confidence, safe in the knowledge that a discrete press is all that is required to call for assistance.

Clip it on - Your child can attach Handi SOS onto their clothing, school bag, bike handlebars or run it through a split ring to put on their keys.

Activate the button - In event of an emergency your child presses the Handi Button. Through Bluetooth, the device sends an SOS message from their smartphone to select contacts including a GPS location.

In case of emergency - You and selected contacts will simultaneously receive an SMS message alerting you to the incident. If requested you can even add emergency services to the list of contacts as well.

React - On receiving a message you can immediately phone your child to access their situation. If they do not answer, map data allows you to track their location and follow map directions to the location of their mobile phone. Alternatively, in the event of a severe emergency, you can forward the address onto to emergency services.

Relax - Go about your daily business safe in the knowledge, should the worst happen, your child is a button press away from help.


Activation - To prevent accidental activation you can set Handi to activate from a ‘Single Click’, ‘Double Click’ or ‘Long Press’

No subscriptions - Handi requires no expensive online subscriptions, only an Android smartphone.

Size - Compact and wearable, Handi is about the size of three 10 pence coins stacked on top of one another.

Discreet - The device can be worn under clothing

SIM card - No need for additional SIM cards

Mountable - The clip can also be used in conjunction with traditional split rings to be attached to keys. Additionally, the Handi has a peelable adhesive backer which can be mounted on everything from the handlebars of your child’s bike dashboard to the side of their ski helmet
