About the Hanwag Ferrata II GTX
The Hanwag Ferrata II GTX Hiking Boot is the ultimate technical performance boot. It can tackle challenging alpine terrain such as via ferrata and alpine rock climbing, but is also comfortable and flexible enough for hiking and trekking. Additionally, these boots have a Gore-Tex membrane lining, guaranteeing to keep your feet dry in wet conditions.
With a premium microfibre and synthetic upper, the Ferrata II GTX is lightweight yet durable, protecting your feet from anything on the trail. The upper uses Hanwag's LFX (Lateral Flex) technology to ensure that the upper can flex from side to side when you walk, providing support without sacrificing comfort. Coupled with Click Clamp eyelets and 2-zone lacing system, the Ferrata II GTX promises a comfortable, personalised fit.
The Vibram Integral Light 'Mont Compound' outsole provides excellent grip, and is lower in height for extra stability. Due to the tread design and 3D PrismBase technology, the sole construction is incredibly lightweight, helping to reduce fatigue and allow you to tackle tough terrain with confidence.
Alongside its Vibram outsole, the Ferrata II GTX features a Tubetec Rock midsole. This midsole has a tough TPU frame to give you support and stability while also protecting the soft polyurethane cushioning inside. The Ferrata II GTX therefore gives you the best of both worlds: it is stiff enough to take a C1 or C2 crampon but is also cushioned enough for general hiking.
