About the La Sportiva Theory
The La Sportiva Theory has been developed specifically for high level and Olympic competition climbing where you need a dynamic shoe that can still hold up on tiny edges. The Theory is perfect for high-performance and competition climbing with the largest rubber toe patch La Sportiva have ever made, so you can use any part of the shoe for crushing technical boulders and dynamic comp routes.
The Theory features the most aggressive and downturned last in Sportiva's range with 85° of asymmetry and no midsole for unbeatable power and sensitivity in the toe box, which excels on steep overhanging routes just as much as on micro edges. The Vibram XS Grip2 rubber gets steadily thinner from the toe to the for increased ability and stability on volumes, while keeping that Sportiva edging prowess, locking into smears, conforming to microscopic nubbins and cruise up technical terrain all with 100% confidence in your footwork - perfect for competitions.
The upper uses a single velcro strap and elasticised fabric for adjustment of the internal volume to lock your foot in place and pull the shoe into place with the P3® (Permanent Power Platform) randing system, an active part of the shoe which gives it its versatility and works in synergy with the base of the foot to spread and maintain tension through time. Constructed with an unlined microfiber and suede uppers with a tubular construction the La Sportiva Theory has been designed to fit your foot with instant performance power.
