About the Lowa Randir GTX Mid

The Randir GTX Mid is a firm favourite for day hiking, backpacking and short expeditions because of the phenomenal comfort, support and cushioning it offers.

The combination textile and suede upper is lined with Gore-Tex®, making it not only flexible but fully waterproof. A flexible and comfortable collar construction delivers a perfect fit.

The Randir GTX also features a robust but flexible Vibram sole, providing added support and absorbing impact on every step, alongside the inclusion of protective foil in high wear areas to increase durability on the trail.

The derby-style lacing means that you can also customise the boot to suit your foot shape perfectly, with extended lacing for optimal adjustability and a pull hook for expert heel fit.

After much browsing and deliberation, I decided to purchase these boots on-line. I had previous the Lowa Elite Desert Boots, which have served me well BUT not Gore-Tex but why would they be, they are desert wellies ! I was tempted by the Zephyr GTX but when browsing, couldn't find my size. I have only worn these for a short 8 mile bimble and was supposed to go on a lengthier one over the weekend but was postponed. The boots fit like a glove and really comfortable and I know I will not require to break in. They are very light compared to my other pair of gore-tex boots (Zamberlan full grain leather) and feel like slippers. Great suppleness around the ankles, allows movement and also have plenty of support, plenty of grip. I like the styling and my son says they are the dogs ! Which I think means very good ;@) At the moment, with limited wear, really chuffed !!
