About the Mammut 9.5 Crag Dry

The Mammut Crag Dry is a 9.5mm rope which takes all the superb handling and feels of that you expect from a Mammut rope and adds a slightly burlier feel, tougher finish and giving you more confidence while working a project. Thanks to its size, it is the ultimate multi-sport rope which adapts to gym use as well as sport and trad climbing outdoors.

The Crag Dry adheres to the UIAA's new dry test which states that in order for a rope to be labelled as DRY, it must absorb less than 5% or less water after a series of tests. The Crag absorbs 1.5% after the tests, earning it the UIAA Water Repellent safety label. Furthermore, the Crag Dry is Bluesign approved so you know that at every point of production, the most eco-friendly method and yarns have been selected to create this rope.

As a DRY rope, the Crags dry's sheath also benefits from a COATING finish which significantly increases abrasion resistance and offers really nice handling for both the climber and belayer, the coating is made of Teflon which is the same material you find in non-stick pans. Essentially what this coating does is extend the life and durability of the rope by keeping friction and wear to a minimum. Nice and supple, you can rest assured the Crag will not fatten out or stiffen up after the first couple uses.

This rope is aimed towards sports climbers and trad climbers, great for multi-pitch climbs and will hold its own in wetter conditions but can of course be used as an indoor gym rope too.
