The Trion Nordwand 28 Climbing and Trekking Backpack from Mammut is the definition of a climbing bag. It comes with some great features that are all designed to make your time climbing as hassle-free and enjoyable as possible.
The Motion V Frame system is a flexible, twistable aluminum frame. On load, weight is optimally transferred to the hips, aiding freedom of movement of the upper body and hips. This is extremely necessary for alpine climbing and trekking activities ensuring a body-hugging fit for safe load control.
The Nordwand is built with 100D Nylon fabric with Dobby® Ripstop, 15 times tougher than steel, to produce an extremely robust bag that can withstand even the most extreme loads. The back panel and shoulder straps are anatomically shaped and padded for a comfortable fit, whilst super-lightweight and highly breathable 3D EVA foam provides great ventilation for those warmer climbs.
Other features that really make this bag stand out as an excellent rock climbing backpack is the attachment flap to hold your ropes, two strong ice axe holders, reinforced ski attachment points on the side and a waterproof external zipper pocket.
