About the Mammut Trovat Advanced High GTX

Ideal for long distance backpacking and mountain hiking the Trovat Advanced High GTX® provides multi-day comfort and ankle support regardless of the terrain.

Designed with Mammut’s Rolling Concept; to promote even transfer from the heel to ball through stabilizing the arch, the Trovat is capable of supporting your foot throughout the course of a hike. Moreover, the Trovat features Mammut’s patented Sole Concept, the attribute includes the cushioning of the sole unit that encourages a natural rolling motion of the foot, decreasing the risk of twisting one’s ankle through reducing fatigue of the feet. Additional upper ankle support is promoted by memo foam allowing for all day comfort.

Feet Mapping technology enhances the fit of the Trovat. It provides padding where the foot is most sensitive, helps reduce exposure to the cold and helps prevent hot spots and moisture build up, the main cause of blisters.

The sole unit of the Trovat is designed in collaboration and produced Vibram. The Vibram MT-Traction sole found on the Trovat is designed primarily for backpacking and hosts a high tread depth to provide traction in oversaturated ground whilst carry heavy loads. Traditionally constructed on a Last the boot is resoleable, should you wear out the primary sole unit. Motion control results in a flexible interior while offering reinforced ankle support.

The Trovata is constructed from a mixture of Nubuck and Nappa Leather in combination with textile fabric. The Nappa leather is supple resulting in improved comfort and dexterity, whilst the full grained Nubuck’s wear resistance results in improved durability. The Elastic GTX® is
designed around the “low force to stretch” concept that allows for unrestricted dexterity of the fabric. This offers the high wearing tongue location optimum durability through reducing the thermal strain whilst increasing breathability and comfort.

A rubber rand can be found encompassing the toe-box and heel. This protects the leather from knicks and cuts when traversing varying landscapes and scree. Additionally Mammut claim the Trovat is strap on crampon compatible for when tackling more challenging terrain.
