The tunnel design features an aerodynamic shape with a drawn-down foot area and pre-bend pole construction in the head to deliver a comfortable sitting height. The Svalbard tent pitches inner-first and can be pitched as a standalone shelter for warmer conditions. Whereas the 2.0 is now an outer-pitched design.
The Svalbard features single-door access with a vestibule for storage, now updated with a new and bigger design. A tuck-away pocket stows the inner and fly doors while pockets keep smaller items organised. Protected vents in the head and foot keep airflow constant while the breathable inner reduces condensation for moisture management.
Wind tested to 40.0 m/s (32.7 m/s is hurricane strength) the Svalbard tent from Nordisk provides fantastic stability in poor weather making it a great choice for alpine treks and those camping in exposed terrain.
A durable 68D ripstop fly features waterproof PU coating to 3000mm with a tough 150D Oxford polyester floor delivering 8000mm water resistance.
