The Oakley MOD 7 Ski/Snowboard Helmet has been meticulously designed for those who demand the highest levels of performance and sets a new standard for visor helmets.
The Oakley MOD 7 features an integrated Prizm™ visor. Prizm™ is a revolution in lens optics built on decades of colour science research and their lenses enhance the visibility of snow contours, bumps, and textures, so you can have the clarity of vision and confidence to ride further and faster.
The visor itself is attached to the helmet using Visionary Secure-Connect technology for a seamless integrated design. Secure Connect uses magnets to secure the visor to the helmet whatever position it's in, whilst a Lens
Landing Zone allows you extra security when stowing the visor above your eyes like you would a pair of goggles. Meanwhile, innovative Lens-seal Adjustment allows you to customise the visor to sit more closely to your face and an Eject Button means you can withdraw the visor completely should you wish.
Equipped with innovative MIPS technology, the helmet reduces the rotational forces exerted on the brain during a collision and offers superior protection to prevent injury from angled impacts. It also features a hybrid-shell construction consisting of a blend of Duramatter Mix Shell and lightweight polycarbonate for enhanced lightweight protection that is strategically placed across the helmet. This is then applied over a tough and rigid EPS foam liner.
Oakley has included their ventilation technology in the MOD 7. It's a fully integrated goggle/helmet system that guarantees efficient venting and heat management. With perfectly aligned brim vents, the MOD 7 Pro aids cooling, allowing heat to escape from the goggles. This in turn reduces fogging, improving the clarity of vision with additional exhaust ports/adjustable vents at the back of the helmet.
A Boa fit system at the rear allows the helmet to be adjusted to deliver an exact fit. A Fidlock buckle on the chin strap means that the helmet can be easily clipped in or undone with one hand, even when wearing gloves.
Oakley has invested time into constructing helmets with exceptional fit and performance. For a ski/snowboard helmet that provides optimum integration with goggles, excellent ventilation, and supreme protective support, the Oakley MOD 7 is the ideal choice.
Dura-Matter Mix Shell - A hybrid-shell construction method using a mix of durable hard-shell Duramatter and traditional lightweight polycarbonate that creates a well-balanced design and is strategically applied to selected areas of the helmet. Applied over an EPS foam liner
Skull Matrix - MIPS® and BOA® technologies merge into a unique single system. Skull Matrix is designed to provide a more adaptive fit to help enhance comfort for an improved riding experience
Fidlock® Buckle - Seamless magnetic functionality lets you fasten your helmet with gloves on
MIPS Technology - Multi-directional Impact protection system. The helmet's outer layer can slide relative to the head, absorbing and distributing more rotational energy. MIPS technology offers excellent injury prevention
Polartec Power Grid Liner - Strengthens performance efficiency by increasing warmth and breathability, while also reducing fabric mass. These geometric patterns improve compressibility, wicking, and add technical style
Secure Connect - Magnetically connects and mechanically secures the visor to the helmet, both in the ride and stowed positions
Integrated Prizm™ Visor - Features a dual-lens powered by Prizm Lens Technology to improve contrast and enhance clarity for detecting snow contours, textures and obstacles, and an inner anti-fog lens
Lens-seal Adjustment - Built into the side of the helmet is an adjustment button that allows the visor to be pushed back into the wearer’s face to help create a custom, comfortable seal
Lens Eject Button - Located on both sides of the visor, the lens eject button releases the visor from the helmet both in the ride and stowed positions
Lens Landing Zone - Located at the front/top of the helmet, the Lens Landing Zone allows the wearer to intuitively stow the visor in place just as they would a traditional goggle using Secure-Connect technology
Ventilation - Temperature regulation is key to enjoying your time on the mountain. With multiple ventilation zones, airflow can be customised to help reduce goggle
fogging and overheating
