About the Osprey Kyte 66
The workhorse of the Osprey brand, the Kyte has defined what an all-mountain backpack could be. With an array of features for every outdoor activity, it is capable of doing it all, from overnight camping trips to winter climbs the Kyte excels.
A bespoke women-specific frame allows for improved comfort. Specially designed shoulder and hip fins hug the female form, in order to maximise load transfer to the hips without imposing and creating rubbing points on the body.
LightWire 3.5 suspension forms the foundation of the Kyte. It transfers the load of the pack directly into the Spacermesh harness and hipbelt, improving weight carry. With an Airscape back panel which features a rigid foam that is mesh covered to promote ventilation, the Kyte sets the standard for comfort on the trail.
The large capacity Kyte 66 is designed to be a workhorse trekking pack. With a size optimised for carrying a large volume of equipment. Access to the gear is effortless, with a large U shaped zipper you can access items in the front panel. This allows for additional organisation when packing and organising equipment. Coupled with a traditional top lid drawcord for access and a lower compartment with removable sleeping bag divider the Kyte provides an array of categorisation options.
Nylon reinforced water bottle pockets provide a durable means of storing the essentials. For those with a preference for reservoirs, the pack is hydration system compatible. Dual hipbelt pockets combined with a front large shot it pocket facilitate the carry of those must-have essentials. A top lid pocket keeps maps and larger items on hand, while a key clip keeps those must-haves safe.
To set the standard of a modern all outdoor bag the Kyte comes equipped with an integrated/detachable raincover for those rainy days on the trail. Stow-on-the-Go allows you to stash walking poles without needing to remove the bag, for those times when you need both hands for a scramble.
An array of webbing and compression straps allow for the carry of larger items such as sleeping pads. An ice axe attachment loop additionally enables you to carry winter hardware for when venturing into the unknown.
The Kyte line opens up the possibility of tackling mountainous terrain, deep forests and long-distance trails. It sets an industry standard for the all outdoor bag. Carry heavier loads in complete comfort.
